Napkin is not just a new note-taking app. At Napkin, we’re working towards a world full of creative and inspired people. They won’t be trapped in social media’s attention economy anymore but instead thrive in their digital gardens of inspiration, their beautiful spaces to think. Thoughts will be distilled from their sources, connected across time and space. Napkin will be a medium for thought, a content network for inspiration.

What’s ahead:

We are very excited to launch the next chapter of Napkin and are looking for a technical co-founder to join the team.

Last year, we’ve built the beta, gained enough paying users to be cash flow positive and the right partners to build a solid basis for the next steps. All bootstrapped, no VCs, complete freedom.

The beta version uses NLP to analyze your notes, suggest connections and show related thoughts in your collection.

Next year, we want to go from prototype to premium, from desktop to mobile, from single- to multiplayer.

We don’t aim for crazy high numbers but for healthy growth.

We’ll keep the core team small but look for a third co-founder. By now, we’re two co-founders (David taking care of distribution, and Fabian of product and development). We’re remotely organized, meeting in person every few weeks for strategy discussions.

You will bring:

You should love our vision, think fast, and have a strong sense of aesthetics.

Apart from all co-founder responsibilities, your first job would be to design and develop our mobile app.

Ideally, you bring strong technical competence and experience combined with a natural talent for product design. Your future responsibility would comprise hiring and leading the development team.
